To reduce the risk of unsafe and substandard products entering the Botswana market the Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS), oversees the Standards Import Inspections Regulations (SIIR) program, which has become enforceable starting from 1st April, 2009.
According to the SIIR program, all regulated products exported to Botswana must undergo inspection in the country of origin and receive a Certification of Conformity, attesting their compliance with the established requirements. As a BOBS-recognized inspection body, our Certificates of Conformity (CoCs) are accepted as a basis for the SIIR compliance certificates.
