Panama - Energy Efficiency Label
Ensure mandatory Energy Efficiency Labeling for your products in Panama
In June 2013, Executive Decree 398/2013, implementing Law 69/2012 "Establishing the General Guidelines of National Policy for the Rational and Efficient Energy Use in National Territory" entered into force.
The Technical Regulations on Energy Efficiency were prepared by the National Energy Secretariat (SNE) in conjunction with the Ministry of Commerce & Industries (MICI) Directorate-General on Standards and Industrial Technology (DGNTI). These technical regulations require compliance with the minimum energy efficiency requirements stipulated in the corresponding Technical Standards and establish the energy efficiency labels that must be visible to the consumer.
