Indonesia (SNI) - Automotive Components´ Certification

Goods for export to Indonesia are mandated to obtain certification according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). Once certified safe by an authorized certification body (CB), goods are permitted entry to the Indonesian market. For SNI applications, the following general information is required: • Application form signed by the manufacturer/exporter • Application form signed by the importer • Product specification • Business license • Construction data form (CDA) • List of critical components • Drawings/layout • Declaration of Conformity • Material safety datasheet (MSDA) • Name and address of the local representative • Name and address of the manufacturer TÜV Rheinland is the only SNI authorized certification body providing accredited testing for automotive tires as well as for mandatory factory testing and sample drawing services. Our certification scope, additionally to tires, includes wheels, safety glass and lubricants. Our manufacturer/local representative/importer customers are provided expeditious certification by the following steps: 1. Customer applies for SNI certification via TÜV Rheinland 2. TÜV Rheinland conducts factory inspection and sample drawing 3. TÜV Rheinland issues certificate(s) upon successful evaluation to the local representative 4. Annual surveillance (certificate maintenance) performed by TÜV Rheinland 5.
