Technical Regulation TR CU 007/2011 on safety of the products for children and teenagers sets safety requirements to be applied to products intended for use by children under the age of 14 and adolescents, between the age of 14 and 18. It contains regulations referring to chemical, biological, mechanical and thermal safety for the protection of life and health of children and adolescents, as well as the prevention of acts which may deceive consumers. Article 4 to 8 of the Technical Regulation determines the essential safety requirements for different product categories while labelling requirements are specified in Article 9. Article 12 describes the conformity procedure necessary for such products. Upon successful conformity assessment, products shall be marked with the EAC Mark on the product and/or the packaging and/or label before placing on the market.
