BIS mark - ISI marking for Domestic Electric Food mixer (Liquidizers and Grinders) and Centrifugal Juicer and Hand held blender

The Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry – Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) mandated the ‘Bureau of Indian Standards Kitchen Appliances (Quality Control) Order, 2018’. It is effective since 1st May, 2019. Hand-held blenders, Domestic Electric Food mixers and Centrifugal Juicers shall conform to the relevant Indian Standard and be affixed with the ISI Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards. Relevant documentation, followed by plant and factory inspection, then testing according to IS 302 Part 2, Sec. 14 (for Hand-held Blenders), or IS 4250 (Domestic Electric Food mixers and Centrifugal Juicers) is the process to obtain the certification license and ISI mark.
