Argentina - Product Safety Certification of electrical and electronic products

Electrical and electronic products intended to be marketed in Argentina, whether locally manufactured or imported, shall comply with the relevant Technical Regulations, namely:
1) Resolution S.I.C. N°16/2025, applicable to power supplies and chargers, household appliances, lighting devices and electronic and audio and video products.
2) Resolution S.I.C. N°17/2025 for Machines and Tools powered by motors
3) Resolution S.I.C. N°236/2024 and its amending Resolution S.I.C. N°26/2025 & Disposition D.N.R.T N°2/2025 for Electrical Installation Materials.
The certificate holder (local company) in Argentina shall sign a Declaration of Conformity to guarantee that the product entering the Argentina market complies with the applicable technical regulations. The Declaration of Conformity shall be based on a valid certificate.
As of October 1st, 2025, a new compliance logo shall be attached on the product. It must have a QR code & AR plus double tick, that links to the Declaration of conformity and the product certificate of the corresponding product.

From the issuing date: 2 years – General; 4 years - Electronic and Audio/Video products After these periods, the certificates will continue to be valid if the corresponding Surveillance process is conducted by the Certification Body that has issued the certificate. |

Power Supplies and Chargers, Lighting Devices, Electronic, Audio, and Video Devices and Machinery and Electrical power tools powered by or with output voltages between 50V AC to 1000V AC or 75V DC to 1500V DC.
