Battery technology continues to develop. At TÜV Rheinland InterCert Kft. in Hungary we are helping our customers to secure a competitive edge over competitors, to reduce defects and direct and indirect risks, to offer more secure products for their clients, and to comply with relevant legislations, regulations and standards. We provide battery safety testing services specialized for manufacturers of li-ion batteries and capacitors. Our services will help you ensure that the battery or capacitor fulfill all the planned and the required parameters. Our first priority is safety, without any compromise. Our improved testing capability makes it possible to test battery cells and soon battery packs up to the size of an e-bike battery. In Europe TÜV Rheinland has battery laboratories only in Germany, and ours in Hungary, where we have over 10 years’ experience in battery testing.

The Battery Lab is one of our flagship laboratories. Our 130 m² large battery testing facility is equipped with more than 80 test equipment ensuring highest safety standards in order to confirm that test samples work even under irregular conditions and in abnormal environments. With the valuable test chambers installed, we aim to support battery energy technologies in a fast developing industry. Testing services are offered for wide variety of products, ranging from batteries used in electric and hybrid electric bicycles, battery operated household commercial products. In the new setup, we are able to make parallel testing at the same time, so our customers get the results much faster from us.

In the new Location, we maintain laboratories for Mechanical Products, Electrical Safety, Luminaires & Environmental Simulation as well as a special High Current & Short Circuit Lab for components and a Medical Device Laboratory

We provide product certification (CB Report) on battery and capacitor safety. CB report can be issued upon following standards IEC 62133-2, and 60384 for capacitors.

Testing services are offered for wide variety of products, ranging from batteries used in electric- and hybrid electric bicycles and battery operated household commercial products. Parallel tests are also possible in the new laboratory, so our customers can get the test results faster.
