The area
Mobility means freedom. Hundreds of thousands of driver's license tests are conducted in Germany every year. Under the umbrella of TÜV Rheinland Kraftfahrt GmbH and the Mobility Business Unit, driving license testing is integrated alongside the vehicle testing business, damage and value assessments, homologation and the Rail business unit.
The people
Driving license examiners at TÜV Rheinland are responsible for conducting theoretical and practical driving tests in accordance with the Driving License Ordinance. They record and evaluate the driving competence of the learner driver and uncover safety-relevant competence deficits.
Their qualifications are continuously improved through training and certification. Furthermore, driving license examiners carry out driving license checks for fleet operators and their company car drivers and further training courses for professional drivers.
