Risk Based Inspections powered by AI with the human expert touch

Introducing SmartRBI

With TÜV Rheinland's SmartRBI, you can unlock a vast archive of data at the touch of a button, which eliminates the burden of repetitive manual data entry and the hassle of outdated information. Ensuring you're always working with the most current data, optimising operations and conserving valuable resources.
It's time for you to upgrade.

Risk Based Inspections
TÜV Rheinland provides a range of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) consulting services:

  • RBI studies - using our proprietary methodology and tools
  • Focussed schemes of examination service - updating inspection schemes to reflect the outcomes for RBI studies
  • Screening studies - a rapid assessment of equipment to prioritise items for full RBI studies

At processing facilities, RBI is a risk assessment and management process that focuses on loss of containment of pressurised equipment due to material deterioration. RBI complements process HAZOP studies by focusing on physical integrity-related damage mechanisms and managing risk through methods, coverage and frequency of inspections.

What is SmartRBI?

SmartRBI is a qualitative risk-based inspection (RBI) tool that leverages AI to enhance the process, by automating data extraction and risk assessments to generate insights whilst maintaining "human in the loop.

How well does the data extraction tool work with design documentation that may not be of the best quality or be scanned?

The data extraction tool can extract data from any legible document. If the document can be read by an engineer, the tool will be able to extract data from it.

What format does the input data need to be in?

The tool will work with all widely used file types.

How accurate is the data extraction tool?

The tool is achieving in excess of 80% accuracy depending on the quality of the documents provided. All data is validated by a human at each stage.

Why use SmartRBI?

In an era where safety and efficiency are paramount, SmartRBI stands as your definitive tool for asset management. Utilise the prowess of artificial intelligence (AI) to not only predict equipment failures before they occur but also streamline and optimise your maintenance schedules, ensuring maximum uptime. Here’s some reasons why you should upgrade to SmartRBI.

Decision Support

SmartRBI converts complex and vast data sets into clear insights, it equips decision-makers with reliable information, enhancing the accuracy and speed of strategic decisions at the touch of a button.

Regulatory Compliance

SmartRBI maintains vast up-to-date knowledge of regulations, ensuring that compliance is woven into your operations. Automated record-keeping and reporting simplify demonstrating compliance, minimising the risk of fines and reputational damage.

Resource Allocation

By analysing operational data, SmartRBI identifies underperforming areas, allowing for realignment of resources to where they’re needed most. This smart reallocation can lead to more efficient and optimised processes and better use of organisational assets.

Financial Efficiencies

With SmartRBI, organisations can automate data-heavy tasks, decreasing the need for manual input and reducing operational costs. It also predicts maintenance needs to avoid costly downtime, extending equipment life and improving the bottom line.
