Certifying Your Security Services
Personal and private security services are a highly sensitive value proposition. Companies and people expect these sorts of services to be reliable and offered by people who can be trusted to know what they're doing and what they need to do in specific situations. Security companies therefore require specific licenses to offer their services on the market.
Private security associations have therefore developed special certification schemes for companies seeking entry to this market. Various types of security certification schemes and permits cover different security requirements. If your company offers security services, TÜV Rheinland is your partner for certification. Not only do we adopt a pragmatic approach to auditing – we have extensive knowledge of the industry. For greater efficiency of your operations, we can also combine management system audits for the private security industry with other management system schemes, like ISO 9001.
With a quality seal issued by TÜV Rheinland, you rely on certification based on standards developed by the security industry itself. Your company can demonstrate that it is a professional and reliable supplier of security services – just what your customer wants.

Six Steps to Greater Quality in Services
To issue certification, our experienced experts analyze and evaluate your processes and systems. Security service certification is done in six steps.
1. Preliminary Audit (optional)
The auditors conduct a preliminary audit to determine whether any requirements associated with this standard have already been implemented in your company and, if so, which ones.
2. Examination of Documentation
The auditing team determines the extent to which documentation of your social standards concurs with requirements of the standard.
You demonstrate practical application of your quality management system. Our auditors test its effectiveness.
4. Issue of Certificate
Once all criteria have been met, your company will receive a positive advise. The private security association will then award the certificate, showing the integrity of your management system and its compliance with standard.
5. Surveillance Audits
Our annual surveillance audits help you continuously optimize your processes.
6. Certification Renewal
The revision audit is carried out after three years and helps you implement continuous improvement processes. This demonstrates your long-term commitment to quality to your partners and customers.
