Member of the Board of Management

Dr. Lydia Sebastian is a member of the Board of Management for “Legal and Compliance, Member Affairs and Internal Operations” at TÜV Rheinland Berlin Brandenburg Pfalz e.V. since February 1, 2021. She previously worked for five years as head of the Supervisory Board office at TÜV Rheinland AG and as head of the Executive Board office.
Dr. Sebastian (born 1972) is a licensed lawyer and completed, parallel to her academic career an apprenticeship as a qualified banker. After obtaining her doctorate (Dr. iur.), she started her professional life in 2000 as a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group, focusing on financial institutions.
From 2009 on, Dr. Sebastian took over the mandate office of a professional supervisory board member and thus gained further experience in strategic and operational monitoring and controlling. After moving to the Rhineland in 2013, she initially worked at the board staff of apoBank, before finding a new professional home in the TÜV Rheinland Group.
Dr. Lydia Sebastian lives in Neuss with her husband and four children.
