FTA and TÜV Rheinland bring ZDHC Chemical Management Training to BEPI producers in Bangladesh

Business Environmental Performance Initiative
Business Environmental Performance Initiative

The Business Environmental Performance Initiative (BEPI) Supply Chain Chemical Management (SCCM) module is designed to help members address chemical issues in their supply chain, within a collaborative framework and using common tools and standards. It provides BEPI participants with a platform and the tools they need to communicate with producers at every tier, improve their chemical management and respond to detox concerns.

To support BEPI’s growing network of more than 200 active producers in Bangladesh, the FTA has announced “ZDHC Introduction to Chemical Management” workshop. Aimed at enabling producers to achieve better chemical management and eliminate hazardous chemicals, it includes an online exam and a certificate valid for three years.

Delivered by the internationally respected ZDHC approved training provider, TUV Rheinland, the two-day event is designed exclusively for BEPI producers. It consists of five modules, including:

a) Introduction to Chemical Management

b) Hazards & Risks

c) Labelling and Communication

d) Chemistry Storage

e) Environmental Impact Mitigation Measures

Dates: 3-4 December and 10-11 December 2017

Special FTA offer: Fees are waived for BEPI producers. Seats are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis . Registration and certificate fees to be paid by trainees (90 euros + local taxes will be collected by training provider, TUV Rheinland).
