CE Marking (European Union)

Many products seeking entry into the European Union must comply with the European Directives and bear the CE Marking. The CE Marking is the manufacturer's self-declaration, showing compliance with all applicable directives. As a subsidiary of an EU Notified/Competent Body, TÜV Rheinland can assist manufacturers in meeting Directive requirements.

DIN Mark (European Union)

This marking is of interest to companies that wish to sell their products in Europe, particularly products for construction, electrical components and protective eyewear.

S+ Mark (Switzerland)

Electrical low voltage appliances have to fulfill the requirements of the Ordinance on Electrical Low Voltage Equipment (NEV). Electrical low voltage equipment can be marked on a voluntary basis with the well-known Swiss Safety Mark S+ which is an additional marketing advantage for manufacturer & importer to place their products on the Swiss market.

TÜV Rheinland is in the position to undertake project handling for Swiss Approvals via ESTI (The Eidgensisches Starkstrominspektorat - Federal Inspectorate for Heavy Current Installations). ESTI is the Swiss Certification Body in the field of electrical products.

S-Mark (Hungary)

The S-Mark shows the buyer, customer and consumer that the product has been successfully tested by the impartial TÜV Rheinland and has been proven to fulfill safety requirements TÜV Rheinland Hungary is recognized as Certification Body to issue S-Mark certification.

GOST-R (Russia)

Many products bound for Russia need GOST-R certification. TÜV Rheinland has entered into a strategic cooperation with VNIIS to issue GOST-R certificates directly through VNIIS for an extensive range of products.

Nordic Marks (North Europe)

Through an agreement with FIMKO, Nordic Certification Services are available for Finland, Sweden (SEMKO), Norway (NEMKO) and Denmark (DEMKO).

EVPU (Slovakia)

TÜV Rheinland cooperates with EVPU, a recognized Certification Body in Slovakia. EVPU can issue the Certificates based on the documentation provided by TÜV Rheinland.EVPU approval is mandatory.

EZU Mark (Czech Republic)

TÜV Rheinland cooperates with EZU, a recognized Certification Body in Czech Republic. EZU can issue the Certificates based on the documentation provided by TÜV Rheinland. EZU approval is non-mandatory.

STB Mark (Belarus)

TÜV Rheinland is able to help customers to achieve the STB mark through its cooperative relationship with BelGISS, the Standard Writing Body for electrical products in Belarus. To obtain STB Mark certification product has to be Hygienic registered in advance.

SIQ Mark (Slovenia)

TÜV Rheinland cooperates with SIQ (Slovenski institut za kakovost in meroslovje), a recognized Certification Body in Slovenia. SIQ can issue the registered certificate of conformity which is mandatory in Slovenia.
