Mobility Technology Center, dedicated to the automotive industry

~Providing EMC testing service specialized for advanced automotive electronic systems~

In the summer of 2020, we will open the Mobility Technology Center (MTC) that is dedicated to the automotive industry where we will perform testing service for ECUs in development of autonomous driving, ADAS, etc. and EMC testing service of in-vehicle electrical and electronic devices, and wireless tests of the Short Range Device (SRD) e.g. smart keyless system. The MTC will be located in the Mikawa area in the Aichi prefecture.

Through synergies between high expertise in electrical and electronic equipment and deep knowledge of automobiles, we support the “now” and “future” automobile industries.

Diversification and Complexity of Tests - The Current State of the Automobile

Diversified and more complex functions to be tested

The components and systems for ADAS and autonomous driving is consisted of Sensor-ECU-actuator combination, Relationship to other systems including powertrain, ABS, and steering, etc.

The development of these includes evaluation of system functions such as actuator operation, output port voltage, and code transmission via CAN. It is becoming more and more difficult to plan and execute complex tests.

EMC-Requirement-For-Automotive

Collaboration between EMC/Wireless Engineers and Automotive Engineers is a key success factor

The EMC test is mandatory for following many regulations, such as brake/steering/LDWS.
The testing scope are not only for UNECE Regulation No.10, but also to verify functionality of each system under immunity testing according to each individual regulations and their requirements.
The test plan can only be made through a collaboration of EMC/Wireless Engineers and Automotive Engineers.

Flexibility for a variety of tests

The Mobility Technology Centre (MTC) is a development centre dedicated to the automotive industry.
We are able to plan and conduct testing of complex automotive electric/electronic systems.

MTC allows you to plan and carry out test plans for complex systems such as Autonomous Driving and ADAS. Furthermore, we will utilize the test results and provide the type approval service.
During making a test plan, we flexibly support various tests demands by combining with tests in the millimeter wave anechoic chamber, electrical safety test, IP test, Li-Io battery test, CMS test, electric motor test, etc. in our Yokohama (GTAC) & Osaka (KTAC) laboratories.

In addition, we can help you to integrate your products with the functional safety (ISO 26262) and We offer testing for both automotive requirements.
