The Personal Commitment Card gives assurances!

We make the world a safe place: this is one of TÜV Rheinland's core principles. This understanding begins with the employees themselves. Because safety is not only a top priority for customers, but also internally. This is symbolized by the Personal Commitment Card. It contains the most important safety and compliance principles – compactly presented in check card format.

The Personal Commitment Card is intended to encourage employees to intervene in situations that they perceive as unsafe or dangerous for themselves or others. This understanding applies not only to the area of occupational health and safety, but equally to the topics of ethics, compliance, and integrity: For example, if employees feel that customers or business partners are pressuring them into actions that could damage TÜV Rheinland's reputation, they are strongly encouraged to speak to their manager or use an internal whistleblowing platform.

"All TÜV Rheinland employees have the right to stop work at any time due to unsafe conditions or compliance concerns. The Personal Commitment Card gives them the assurance that they need not fear any negative consequences in such cases,” explains TÜV Rheinland CEO Dr.-Ing. Michael Fübi. “I attach great importance to ensuring that all employees have this card and know what it stands for – namely the personal commitment of all of us to actively support our safety and compliance principles.”
