Four Pillars of the

Four Pillars of the "Green Product" Certification.

Responsible Handling of Chemical Substances.
Various EU directives and requirements, including RoHS, REACH and related regulations, must be followed which limit the use of harmful substances in electrical and electronic products ensuring the protection of people and the environment.

Reusability and Reuse of Recycled Materials.
As required by the WEEE directive, we evaluate the percentage of recycled material in the product and its reusability. Furthermore, we verify the proper use and labeling of recycled material for certain product groups. We place special emphasis on the limited use of PVC, phthalates and brominated flame retardants in the certified devices.

Preparation of a Carbon Footprint / CO2 Balance.
CO2 balances are a new method to calculate the greenhouse gas emissions that are caused by a product over its entire or through parts of its life cycle. In doing so, the critical phases in the product life cycle are analyzed.

Energy Consumption and Energy Efficiency.
We test the energy consumption and energy efficiency of electrical products. This achieves a reduction of energy consumption and correspondingly lower electricity costs in the consumer's home.
