The German Occupational Safety Act (ASiG) regulates how occupational health physicians are appointed and what they do. DGUV Regulation 2 provides more concrete details: occupational health physicians provide assistance to employers on all health aspects related to occupational safety and accident prevention. They advise employers on workplace design, personal protective equipment, ergonomics and occupational hygiene. They also sit on the occupational safety committee, where they work with occupational safety specialists, safety officers, employers and the works or staff council.
Our occupational physicians provide mandatory and voluntary preventive occupational medical care, either as an offer or on request. This preventive care is designed to assess the individual interactions between work and health and to identify work-related health disorders. They also conduct clinical assessments of fitness for work.
Benefit from the experience of our occupational physicians: their assistance provides legal certainty and helps you fulfill your duty of care towards your employees.
