Innovation in vehicle evaluations: The adomea scanner
Our vehicle scanner represents technology that no other technical services provider can currently offer. The technology for automatically detecting a vehicle's exterior condition is a groundbreaking innovation in vehicle evaluations/inspections, enabling high-precision and objective detection of damage to vehicle exteriors.
The adomea scanner is therefore the ideal solution for documenting damage. Car dealerships and OEMs benefit as do courier and rental fleet operators, leasing providers and car insurers, logistics companies, and vehicle marketing platforms.
State-of-the-art technology for your business
The adomea scanner is a measuring system that detects exterior damage on vehicles. It delivers objective findings and supports vehicle condition assessments. The scanner uses measurement technology to detect even the smallest paint and bodywork defects such as dents, bumps, scratches and stone chips.
What makes the scanner special is its ability to combine three different measurement signals – color image, surface curvature, and reflectivity – to generate a complete exterior image in exceptional quality.
By using AI (artificial intelligence), the scanner not only enables the transparent reporting of damage but will also be capable in the future of automatically detecting and classifying such damage – including the calculation of repair costs and decreased values. The hardware currently in use already has the technology required for future developments so no expansion or retrofitting will be necessary.
The adomea scanner is highly beneficial for vehicle evaluations:
- Mobile and flexible applications
- Visualization of measurement data for reporting transparency
- Recording and documenting of even the tiniest surface defects
- Objective measurement results
- Highly efficient and consistent quality
Technology in detail: How the adomea scanner works
After set-up and fully automatic calibration, the adomea scanner takes measurements of a vehicle’s exterior. The system uses a multitude of cameras to analyze reflections of specific patterns on a vehicle's exterior. The adomea scanner then uses these measurements to calculate, for example, surface curvatures. This allows the tiniest deformations to be localized and classified.
