USA - Testing of Autonomous Vehicles

The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) adopted its autonomous vehicle regulations as they relate to heavy–duty autonomous vehicles, testing, deployment, event reporting, information gathering, enforcement, first responder interactions with autonomous vehicles, and licensure for remote assistants and remote operators.

Effective Date​​ of Regulations: April 28, 2026.
