USA - Safety Standard for Infant Swings
Recently the US Consumer Protection Safety Commission (CPSC) adopted a mandatory rule for infant swings, codified in 16 CFR part 1223. The rule incorporated by reference ASTM F2088-12a - Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Infant Swings, with modifications to make the standard more stringent.
The mandatory standard included performance requirements and test methods, as well as requirements for warning labels and instructions, to address hazards to children.
The rule is effective on January 1, 2023, unless CPSC receives a significant adverse comment by October 20, 2022.
