USA - Notice of Availability and Request for Public Comment on Draft Risk Evaluations for o-Dichlorobenzene and p-Dichlorobenzene Under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced the availability of, and is seeking public comment on, the draft risk evaluations for o-dichlorobenzene (CAS No. 95-50-1) and p-dichlorobenzene (CAS No. 106-46-7) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
The purpose of these risk evaluations is to determine whether the substances present an unreasonable risk to human health or the environment under their conditions of use, including risks to potentially exposed or susceptible populations, without consideration of costs or other non-risk factors.
EPA is inviting stakeholders to submit comments on the draft evaluations, which will inform the Agency's final determination regarding the risks associated with o-dichlorobenzene and p-dichlorobenzene.
