Uganda PVOC Update || Fishing Gear Subject to COC from May 1st, 2022

​Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) have decided to include fishing gear under the Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) scheme, effective from May 1st, 2022.

Fishing gear shall comply with the Fish (Fishing) Rules, 2010 Statutory Instruments 2010 No. 33; Part II  - "Prohibited Nets and Fishing with Nets".
