Taiwan - Revision of Reference Commodity Classification Codes for Mandatory Inspection Items (Data Transmission Equipment and Toys)

​The Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI), under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), has revised the reference commodity classification codes for mandatory inspection items, covering “data transmission equipment” (e.g., routers, switches, excluding medical devices and telecom terminal equipment) and “toys.” The revision aligns with updates made by the International Trade Administration, including the addition and removal of specific HS codes and corresponding import regulations. While the inspection scope remains unchanged, the update affects customs declaration and clearance procedures.​​
