Taiwan - Proposal for Legal Inspection Requirements for Infant Bath Seats

​Taiwan Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) announced Proposal for Legal Inspection Requirements for Infant Bath Seats.

In response to the concerns raised by the public about the safety of infant bath seats due to incidents in recent years that resulted in severe injuries to infants, the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) intends to regulate the safety and quality of infant bath seats.

The conformity assessment procedure is either Type Approved Batch-by-Batch Inspection or Registration of Product Certification (Module 2 + Module 3).
