Taiwan - Mandatory Inspection for Wireless Chargers

Taiwan BSMI implemented the mandatory inspection for wireless chargers. This shall ​start from 1st January 2020. The tests required are:

• CNS 14336-1 Information technology equipment − Safety − Part 1: General requirements
• CNS 13438 Information technology equipment - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement

Labelling shall comply with Section 5 of CNS 15663 (Guidance to reduction of the restricted chemical substances in electrical and electronic equipments - RoHS)

The conformity assessment procedure shall be Module II and III under Registration of Product Certificaction (RPC) scheme.

The relevant HS codes are:

8504.40.20.00.3G
8504.40.99.90.0H

Should the product operates in the frequency range <30MHz, then they shall in addition, comply with CNS 13803 (Industrial, scientific and medical equipment − Radio-frequency disturbance characteristics − Limits and methods of measurement).
