Taiwan - Legal Inspection Requirements for Chair Mounted Seat

​In response to the concerns raised by the public about the safety of chair mounted seat due to incidents in recent years that resulted in severe injuries to infants, the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) decided to regulate the safety and quality of chair mounted seats. The conformity assessment procedure will be either Type Approved Batch-by-Batch Inspection (TABI) or Registration of Product Certification (Module 2 + Module 3).

The inspection standard is CNS 16007:2017 Child use and care articles − Chair mounted seat.

Date of implementation is November 1, 2021.
