Taiwan - Legal Inspection of Cribs and Cradles for Domestic Use

​In response to the concerns raised by the public about the safety of cribs and cradles due to incidents in recent years that resulted in severe injuries to infants, the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) decides to regulate the safety and quality of cribs and cradles for domestic use. The conformity assessment procedure will be either Batch by Batch Inspection (Type Approval) or Registration of Product Certification (RPC) Scheme (Module II + III).

The inspection standard is CNS 12990:2017 - Cribs and cradles for domestic use.

Date of implementation is November 1, 2021.
