Taiwan - Draft Amendment of "Requirements on Minimum Energy Performance Standard and Energy Efficiency Rating Labeling and Inspection for Air Compressors"

​The Ministry of Economic Affairs announced draft amendments to energy efficiency standards for air compressors on March 11, 2026.

Expanded Scope: Adjusting the discharge pressure range
Enhanced Standards: Raising the Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) for variable-speed rotary compressors and introducing calculation formulas for liquid-cooled models.
Administrative Changes: Discontinuing the use of CD-ROMs for report submissions in favor of digital processes, and granting authorities the power to perform sampling and witnessed testing before registration.
Clarifications: Adding "for domestic use" to specify the regulated products and standardizing legal terminology (e.g., changing "company" to "manufacturer").
