Taiwan - Announcement No. 1111303439, 2023 on amendment of Sanitation Standard for Food Utensils, Containers and Packages
Recently the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration issued an amendment on the Standards for Food Utensils, Containers and Packaging.
The main revisions include:
1. Amending the name of the source of law (Article 1 of the amendment)
2. Amend the management regulations on the prohibition of recycling of plastic containers, and strengthen the scope of application (Article 2 of the amendment)
3. For the test items of various materials, the list is replaced by an attached table, and added specifications for material testing and dissolution testing items for alloy materials. (Article 6 of the amendment)
This announcement entered into force on Jan 11, 2023.
