Taiwan - Amendment on Inspection Regulation for Sunglasses

The amendment includes declaration documents and testing requirements for sunglasses and sunglass lenses, applicable standard is CNS 15067 Eye and Face Protection – Sunglasses and Related Eyewear – Part 1: Sunglasses for General Use.

Sunglasses resistant to solar radiation should be labeled as "sunglasses". Sunglasses target for children under 14 years old, should be labeled as 'sunglasses for children' and comply with CNS 4797 "Safety of Toys (General Requirements)". Sunglasses that do not have an anti-sunlight radiation function and that are also designed for children should be labeled with the words "toy".
