Taiwan - Amendment on Energy Efficiency Standards and Labeling Methods for Refrigerator Energy Labels

​The Ministry of Economic Affairs Energy Administration announced revisions to the "Energy Efficiency Standards and Labeling Methods for Refrigerator Energy Labels" on November 7, 2025. This revision raises the energy efficiency standards for refrigerators, establishing stricter energy factor value requirements based on different types such as fan-cooled and direct-cooled models, as well as their effective volume capacity. The new regulations require that the actual measured energy factor values of all refrigerators must reach at least 95% of the labeled values, and clearly specify the labeling requirements for manufacturer and label user information to protect consumer rights.

These revised regulations will take effect on January 1, 2027.​
