Türkiye (Turkey) - Draft Framework Regulation on Ecodesign Requirements for Sustainable Products

The objective of this Regulation is to establish a framework for making products more sustainable, improving their environmental sustainability to reduce their total carbon and environmental footprint throughout their life cycle, ensuring their free movement on the market, determining the ecodesign requirements they must meet to be placed on the market or put into service, creating a digital product passport and preventing the destruction of unsold consumer products. 

However, it specifically excludes several categories such as food and feed, medicinal products for both human and veterinary use, and live biological entities like plants and animals. 

Additionally, the scope does not cover motor vehicles, trailers, or agricultural and forestry machinery, as these remain governed by their own specific type-approval and market surveillance regulations.​
