Türkiye - Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Type Approval and Market Surveillance of Motor Vehicles and Their Trailers, and of Systems, Components and Separate Technical Units Intended for Such Vehicles (EU 2018/858)

​The Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology amended the regulation on the type approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles, trailers, and related components in line with EU Regulation 2018/858. 

The amendment introduces an electronic Certificate of Conformity system, requiring manufacturers to submit conformity data digitally through the Vehicle Registration and Registration System using secure electronic data exchange standards. 

​It also updates the implementation timeline for software update requirements, prohibiting the registration, placing on the market, entry into service, or manufacture of certain vehicle categories that do not comply with the software update provisions from July 7, 2026.
