Switzerland - Draft Revision of the Ordinance on Energy Efficiency Requirements for Series-Produced Installations, Vehicles and Appliances (Energy Efficiency Ordinance)

​This ordinance contains all requirements related to the energy efficiency of mass-produced appliances and installations.
The notified draft ordinance will set out minimum energy performance and labeling requirements for refrigerating appliances, household washing machines, household washer-dryers, household dishwashers, electronic displays, refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function, light sources, and separate control gears.

It will set out minimum energy performance requirements for external power supplies, electric motors, variable speed drives, transformers, air heating products, cooling products, high temperature process chillers and fan coil units, servers and data storage products, and welding equipment.

For vacuum cleaners, the energy labeling requirement will be withdrawn. Products not meeting these requirements will not be allowed to be placed on the Swiss market.
