South Korea - Revision of the "Technical Regulation of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment"

​Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) revising the "Technical regulation of Electric Vehicle Charger Type approval".

The main contents are:

-Expanded the items that can be applied to type approval amendment when changing parts from the initial approval

-Eliminated price indication obligations on display

-Released reference current limit

-Deleted test order terms

-Changed display unit to 0.01 kW

Proposed date of adoption: June 2022

Proposed date of entry into force: August 2022 or later

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
