South Korea - Revision of Enforcement Decree of the Radio Act

Setting up the technical requirements for Electromagnetic Compatibility to adopt the international standards and minimize the electromagnetic influence of the Photovoltaic converters, Programmable Logic Controller, Protective relays.

- Main contents
1. The regulation of electromagnetic compatibility for the Programmable Logic Controller is clearly defined by accepting the international standard (Article 5, Annex 2)
2. For the high power photovoltaic power converters, it reduces the conductive disturbance limit for 75 kVA or more (Article 6 (1), Annex 3)
3. Establishment of EMC regulation for Protective relays by adopting international standards (Article 6 (4), Annex 3-4)
