South Korea - Proposed Revision of the "Regulations on Health Claims on Food Labelling and in Advertising"
Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announces Proposed Revision of the "Regulations on Health Claims on Food Labelling and in Advertising".
The proposed amendment is to:
- Clarify requirements of foods, etc. that can be labelled or advertised as functional.
- Apply the revisions made to the Standards and Specifications for Health Functional Food or Labelling Standards for Foods, etc. - regarding the function of an ingredient, recommended daily intake, or reference intake per eating occasion - first, although no revision to the Regulation on Health Claims on Food Labelling and in Advertising has been made yet.
- Change the recommended daily intake of Nondigestible Maltodextrin
