South Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety proposed Revision of the "Labeling Standards of Foods, Etc.
The proposed amendments are to:
- Enable alcohol producers or importers to label only calorie on their products when they voluntarily provide consumers with nutrition information;
- Establish the standards of labelling "non-addition of sodium" or "unsalted";
- Revise the standards of tolerance range for lower value of nutrition components in foods.
