South Korea - Proposal for Technical Regulations for Electrical and Telecommunication Products and Components (KC 62133-2)

Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) proposes an establishing technical regulation (KC 62133-2 Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolyte - Safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cells, and for batteries made from them, for use in portable application-Part 2: Lithium systems) and abolition technical regulation (KC 62133 Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolyte - Safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cell, and for batteries made from them, for use in portable application) to harmonize international standards, IEC 62133 and IEC 62133-2.

This document includes the clarification of scope (added to enhance the safety of the battery installed in personal mobility below Max. speed 25km/h), and test condition, etc.
