The Ministry of Science and ICT announced a legislative notice for the enactment of the Enforcement Decree of the "Framework Act on the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence and the Establishment of Trust."
- To support the sound development of artificial intelligence (AI) and establish a foundation of trust, thereby protecting the rights and dignity of citizens.
- To improve the quality of life for citizens and enhance national competitiveness.
Following the enactment of the "Framework Act on the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence and the Establishment of Trust" (Act No. 20676, promulgated on January 21, 2025, and effective from January 22, 2026), the Enforcement Decree aims to specify matters delegated by the law (e.g., procedures for establishing and revising the AI basic plan, scope of projects eligible for AI research and development support) and other necessary details for its implementation.
