South Korea - Draft Revision of Safety Criteria for Children’s Product

Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) announced draft revision of safety criteria for children’s product.

Reinforce the Phthalate plasticizer standard in the “Common safety standards for children’s products”
- Concentration of Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) have been included in safety criteria of children’s product.
(Current regulated 6 types of Phthalate plasticizers  - DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP, DnOP)

Proposed date of adoption : Jun. 2021 or later
Proposed date of entry into force : Jun. 2021 or later
Final date for comments : Mar. 28, 2021
