South Korea - Amendments to the Regulations on Performance and Standards of Automobiles and Automotive Parts

​The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MoLIT) announced proposed amendments to the Regulations on Performance and Standards of Automobiles and Automotive Parts to improve safety and align with international standards. 

Key changes include mandating pedal misoperation prevention devices and battery residual life display systems for electric veh​​icles, introducing standards for brand logo lighting, harmonizing bumper safety standards with international regulations, and expanding the scope for special length exemptions for vehicles.
