South Korea - Amendment to the Technical Standards for Radio Equipment for Simple Radio Stations, Space Stations, Earth Stations, and Other Industrial Radio Equipment for Radio Detection

A partial amendment has been introduced to update and refine the technical standards for radio equipment, specifically addressing Earth Stations communicating with Non-Geostationary Satellites in specific frequency bands.

Introduces detailed conditions for Earth Stations operating in frequency bands 14-14.5 GHz (transmitting) and 10.7-12.7 GHz (receiving) to communicate with Non-Geostationary Satellites allocated for fixed satellite services in the 1,100-1,300 km altitude range.
General Transmission Conditions:
- Automatic Tracking
- Control Signals
- Fault Detection
Transmission/Reception Device Standards:
- Waveform & Bandwidth
- Unwanted Emissions
- Frequency Stability
- Secondary Emissions
Additional Conditions:
- Compliance requirements for power spectrum densities based on antenna angles away from the center of the main beam.
- Permission for the head of the National Radio Research Agency to adjust standards for transmission/reception equipment if interference risks arise.

This amendment ensures compliance with modern international standards and minimizes interference risks, improving the safety and efficiency of communications with Non-Geostationary Satellites.
