South Korea - Amendment to the Technical Requirements for Telecommunications Terminal Equipment
The National Radio Research Agency under the Ministry of Science and ICT proposes amendments to the Technical Standards for Terminal Equipment.
- Revision of the definition provision for the term “visual data processing device”
- Establishment of a new proviso to exclude Internet Protocol (IP)-based visual data processing devices (IP cameras) from the scope of regulatory application
- Concurrent revision of the 「Notification on Conformity Assessment of Broadcasting and Communications Equipment」 to alleviate the burden of duplicate testing with information security certifications
