Saudi Arabia - SASO ECE 117 Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Tyres with Regard to Rolling Sound Emissions, Adhesion on Wet Surfaces and Rolling Resistance

Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) recently notified WTO of the document SASO ECE 117.​​

This document is an update of SASO ECE 117:2015  "Uniform  provisions concerning the approval of tyres with regard to rolling sound emissions and/or to adhesion on wet surfaces and/or to rolling resistance" by adoption of the Technical regulation issued by the European Economic Commission at the United Nations No. ECE 117:2016 until ECE 117:2016/Amd7:2023​.

It applies to new pneumatic tyres of Classes C1, C2 and C3 with regard to their sound emissions, rolling resistance and to adhesion performance on wet surfaces (wet adhesion).​​
