Saudi Arabia - Draft Technical Regulation on Child Restraint Systems and Strollers

On January 24, 2022 the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO)​ notified to WTO the draft Technical Regulation on child restraint systems and strollers.

This draft SASO Technical Regulation specifies the following:

Terms and Definitions, Scope, Objectives, Supplier Obligations, Labeling, Conformity Assessment Procedures, Responsibilities of Regulatory Authorities, Responsibilities of Market Surveillance Authorities, Violations and Penalties, General Provisions, Transitional Provisions, Appendix (lists of standards , HS code, classification of products, (Type 1a & and Supplier Declaration of Conformity Form).

Final date for comments: March 25, 2022
