Philippines - Chemical Control Order (CCO) for Chromium VI Compounds

​The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has issued the Chemical Control Order (CCO) for Chromium VI Compounds.
Please note that all issuances of PCL or PCL exemption for Chromium VI Compounds are also covered under this, and the companies affected will need to apply for CCO Registration. Other Chromium Compounds (Chromium (0), Chromium III, etc.) are not affected by the CCO and will still only be under the PCL.

"Section 4 - Regulated Use

The use of Chromium VI Compounds shall be strictly regulated in the following activities relating, but not limited to the following:

Manufacture/Production of:
- Pigments
- Inks
- Textile Dye
- Electronic Equipment/Electroplating
- Protective Coatings and Paints
- Stainless Steel
Activities relating to the operation of:
- Laboratory Facilities
- Tannery"


The Order will take effect fifteen days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation and upon acknowledgment of receipt of a copy thereof by the Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR).
The DAO was published in The Daily Tribune on October 26, 2021.
