Peru - Regulations Implementing Legislative Decree No. 1570 Approving the Law on the Comprehensive Management of Chemical Substances
Pursuant to Supreme Decree No. 005-2026-MINAM, the Ministry of the Environment of Peru approves and publishes Decree No. 1570 approving the Law on the Comprehensive Management of Chemical Substances.
The law formally aligns Peru's chemical oversight with the international Globally Harmonized System (GHS) Revision 6 for hazard classification and labeling.
It establishes the National Registry of Chemical Substances, a mechanism for tracking and managing hazardous substances manufactured in or imported into the country.
