Peru - Regulation No. 30884 Regulating Single-Use Plastic and Disposable Containers
This Regulation was published by Peruvian Ministry of the Environment on August 22, 2019.
Article 3.- Scope of application
The provisions established in this Regulation are mandatory, as appropriate, for any natural or legal person, public or private, that manufactures, imports, distributes, markets, delivers, uses and/or consumes, within the national territory, the following types of plastic goods:
a) Plastic bags designed or used to carry or load goods by consumers or users.
b) Plastic bags or wrappers in print advertising, such as newspapers, magazines or other written press formats; in receipts for payment of services, whether public or private; and in all information addressed to consumers, users or citizens in general. The books are not within the scope of this standard.
c) Plastic sorbets, straws, cigarettes, straws, cañitas or other similar denominations;
d) Expanded polystyrene containers, containers and cups for food and beverages for human consumption;
e) Tableware and other tableware, of plastic, for food and beverages for human consumption;
f) Bottles of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) for drinks for human consumption, hygiene and personal care;
g) Supplies for the production of PET bottles for drinks for human consumption, and;
h) Other polymer-based assets, incorporated by Supreme Decree.
