Peru - Draft Supreme Decree to Amend the Technical Regulation on Energy Efficiency Labelling for Energy-Using Products, Approved by Supreme Decree No. 009-2017-EM

​The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) has proposed a Draft Supreme Decree to amend the Technical Regulation on Energy Efficiency Labelling for Energy-Using Products, approved by Supreme Decree No. 009-2017-EM, by adding eleven new annexes and related supplementary provisions.

The proposal expands the scope of the energy efficiency labelling framework to cover additional product categories, including televisions, induction cookers, microwave ovens, electrical and electronic office equipment, electric ovens, portable electric ovens, floor and wall fans, ceiling fans, dishwashers, LED lighting control devices, and gas-fueled cookers.

The amendments aim to provide consumers with energy efficiency information across a broader range of products, promote energy conservation, and support the adoption of more energy-efficient technologies in the Peruvian market.
